Physics: notes on constant acceleration. A long mathematical argument. Much improved over last year (I kind of stumbled around last year as I recall). The successful piece (I hope) was constantly referring to the assumptions we were making (constant a, zero v.initial) in order to help them know when to use the various equations.

Also – its amazing the difference between my periods. One is so painful due to such little energy from the students. The other is positively enjoyable.

Math: Practice with rational addition/subtraction with negatives. Good reinforcement. Practiced on whiteboards. I did a much better job of helping them to deal with negative mixed numbers – much more in sequence with the ramp-up of their algebraic vision.
